Educational and Nonmedical Nature of Services

Elaria Wellness provides birth doula support, education, wellness guidance, and family support services.

Unless expressly established through a separate written agreement for licensed healthcare services, Elaria Wellness services do not constitute medical care, occupational therapy evaluation or treatment, mental health treatment, diagnosis, rehabilitation, or other healthcare services.

Information provided through this website or during Elaria Wellness services is intended for educational and supportive purposes.

Occupational Therapy Background

Elaria Wellness founder Viviana Moreno Ferreira is a licensed occupational therapist. Her professional training and experience may inform her educational approach and perspective.

However, participation in Birth Prep, Mom + Baby Guidance, birth doula services, or other wellness and educational offerings does not establish an occupational therapist–patient relationship and should not be considered occupational therapy evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment.

If occupational therapy services are offered in the future, those services will be clearly identified and governed by separate documentation and policies.

Birth Doula Services

A birth doula provides non-medical physical, emotional, informational, and educational support.

Doula services do not replace care from an obstetrician, midwife, physician, nurse, pediatrician, lactation professional, mental health professional, or other qualified healthcare provider.

Elaria Wellness does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment or medication, perform medical procedures, make medical decisions on behalf of clients, or guarantee any particular birth outcome.

Clients remain responsible for making their own healthcare decisions in consultation with their licensed healthcare providers.

Mom + Baby Guidance

Mom + Baby Guidance may include general education regarding topics such as routines, positioning, age-appropriate play, development, regulation, maternal routines, and adjustment to life with a baby.

This service is educational in nature and does not constitute developmental evaluation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, medical diagnosis, or individualized healthcare treatment.

If concerns arise that may warrant professional evaluation or medical attention, clients may be encouraged to consult their pediatrician or another appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

Emergency Situations

Elaria Wellness does not provide emergency medical services.

For medical emergencies, call 911 or seek emergency medical care. Pregnancy- or birth-related medical concerns should be directed to your obstetrician, midwife, hospital, labor and delivery unit, or other healthcare provider.

Intake and Acceptance of Services

Submitting an inquiry or intake form does not guarantee acceptance as a client or create a client-provider relationship.

For individual educational or guidance services, appointments are confirmed only after the intake process is completed and scheduling/payment requirements are satisfied.

For birth doula services, support is not considered officially reserved until availability has been confirmed, the consultation process has been completed, required agreements have been signed, and required payment or retainer has been received.

Results and Outcomes

Every pregnancy, birth, postpartum experience, infant, and family is different.

Elaria Wellness does not guarantee specific medical, developmental, emotional, birth, or other outcomes as a result of using its services.

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Pricing and payment requirements will be disclosed before services are confirmed. Service-specific cancellation, rescheduling, refund, and payment terms may be provided during booking or in a separate client agreement.

For birth doula services, the signed doula agreement will govern payment, cancellation, backup support, availability, and other service-specific terms.
